On Tuesday, December 9, TLC welcomes you back to Republic for our fifth Transportation on Tap event of the year! Enjoy light appetizers on us and talk bike, walk, bus, and rail with other TLC members and friends. The approach of a new year has us thinking about the future, so this month we’re diving into the topic of Youth & Active Transportation.

It’s clear that Millennials are influencing transportation trends—but how will the next generation get around? What roles will infrastructure, access, and youth education play in determining bicycling and walking rates down the road? What are the implications for health and equity? How can we engage today’s kids and teens around active transportation? And what helps or hinders young families who want to be multimodal?

Bring your questions for another lively happy-hour conversation with this month’s featured panel:

Nicole Campbell, Safe Routes to School Coordinator, MnDOT Bicycle & Pedestrian Section
Amber Dallman, Physical Activity Coordinator, Minnesota Department of Health
Casey Pavek, General Manager, Venture North

We hope to see you on Tuesday, December 9! All are welcome, but RSVPs are always appreciated.
