Community solar gardens as one of the best ways to foster a community-wide response to climate change that reduces carbon in our atmosphere. Energy independence and environmental responsibility start at home – with a community solar garden subscription. With global climate change causing more disruption to our way of life each year, a group of Northfield residents decided to get together to do something about it. In partnership with MN Community Solar, they founded Northfield Area Community Solar (NACS), an organization formed to create solar gardens for Northfield area residents. NACS is composed of community members from all walks of life who have worked together for years to make Northfield more environmentally responsible.
