The program for Democracy Extravaganza, sponsored by Cannon Valley Indivisible, is coming together. We hope you will join us!

Representatives from a dozen local grassroots and civic groups will participate in the organizations fair. You will have the opportunity to engage with them and learn how to get involved in issues that are important to you. Whether it’s health care, social justice, immigrant advocacy, voter registration, youth activism, gun control, climate and the environment, or local government, there will be something to engage you.

Candidates who plan to attend include: David Bly (State Representative), Tina Liebling (MN Governor), Erin Murphy (MN Governor), and Northfield native Matt Pelikan (MN Attorney General). David Wellstone will speak on behalf of Angie Craig (CD2 Representative) and Tim Walz (MN Governor). The MN Governor campaigns by Rebecca Otto and Chris Coleman also will be represented. All candidates and surrogates will speak briefly at the event and will be available for conversation afterward. Helen Forsythe will provide music.

And if you just want to connect with old friends or make new ones, you can sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee and a homemade cookie while you write notes to your elected officials on postcards specially designed for Democracy Extravaganza.
