Citizens’ Climate Lobby meetings on Saturday June 6th will feature a presentation (via national conference call) by Danny Richter, CCL legislative director. He will talk about what we actually know about people’s carbon footprints, and the role income and geography play in our individual footprint. A new study from the Center for Global Development sheds light on these questions, and Danny will walk us through the study and its findings on the June call.

Anyone concerned about preserving a safe and livable climate for our kids and grandkids is invited to attend a CCL meeting on June 6. The Northfield Chapter meeting will start at 11:30 am at the Masonic Center, corner of West 2nd Street and Linden Street South, in Northfield.

There also will be CCL meetings on June 6th at other locations across Minnesota. Locations and start times for CCL meetings in Minnesota can be seen each month at www.citizensclimatelobby-mn.org.

Citizen Climate Lobby is an organization with local chapters across the U.S.A. and Canada. Its purpose is to create the political will to resolve the problem of climate change. CCL advocates for a fee on carbon emissions with 100% of the proceeds from the fee distributed as a dividend to U.S. households.
