Fairbault Energy Park Tour
This will be an hour long field trip to a duel-fuel (natural gas and fuel oil) energy plant that attempts to give back through the community through outreach education. Lyla June has emerged as a compelling Native American voice for prayer and peaceful resistance. Join Lyla for breakfast at Eagle Bluff followed by a discussion about how we, as people of red, white, black, middle-eastern and Asian heritage can constructively move forward.
Breakfast will be served from 8:00-8:30 a.m. with the discussion to follow.

Lyla June: “Water is Life”, Dinner on the Bluff Series
Lyla June has emerged as a compelling Native American voice for prayer and peaceful resistance. She will describe her participation in the historic, environmental event unfolding at the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota, in which thousands of Native American’s have unified to stop an oil pipeline that threatens the water supply of millions of people. This gathering has attracted worldwide recognition, galvanizing legions of supporters to “Stand with Standing Rock.” Lyla June’s message has the potential to change not only our approach to fossil fuels and water, but also how we honor our native neighbors. In addition to speaking about her experience at Standing Rock, she will also be performing some of her poetry and music.

Main Course: Bison Stew over Fluffy Wild Rice Pilaf

Downstream Environmental Film Series
Three different film programs on consecutive Saturdays in February with a focus on three topics reflected by the feature and short films showing that evening. February 25th will feature films speaking to the theme of Dams and Healthy Waterways.
All events are suggested donation to CRWP. After each film program local leaders will be speaking to the topics raised by the films in order to better frame our local conversation and perspective.
