The Northfield Chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby and the Northfield Youth Ski Club are co-hosts for Saving Snow, a new documentary film about our changing climate and its effect on communities that depend on snow sports for their identity and for their economy. The timing couldn’t be better – our attention has been on the Winter Olympics, and our neighbors in Hayward, Wisconsin are getting ready for the Birkebeiner, the biggest citizen cross-country ski race in the country. In fact, the opening scenes of Saving Snow were filmed last year at the Birkebeiner, and the film will premiere this week at the 2018 Birkebeiner. The film also shows how ski communities are working to become more sustainable, and how skiers are working together for climate solutions.
Please join us! Doors open at 6:40 pm.

A discussion of local solutions and climate action will follow the film. Contributions at the door will help a local student attend the 2018 Citizens’ Climate Lobby International Conference and Lobby Day. For more information contact Citizens’Climate Lobby: www.facebook.com/CCLNorthfield.

Snacks and door prizes!

Co-hosted by Northfield Chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby and by Northfield Youth Ski Club
